Hello! I'm Carrie, a Los Angeles based portrait photographer. I shoot modern lifestyle portraits of families, children, babies and maternity, and there's nothing else i'd rather be doing. This blog is a journal of my personal and professional images, and also chatter on daily occurances and other random things. Thanks for stopping by...come frequently, and please feel free to leave a note! If you'd like to see more of my work, my portrait site + portfolio can be found at: http://urban-baby.com
I’ve had my eye on this place for quite some time now, it’s The Surf Lodge in Montauk…isn’t it lovely? So perfectly laid-back and inviting. With family in upstate NY, i think we could try to make this dream a reality one of these summers…maybe after we drop the boys off at summer camp?

I am loving the fall crewcuts collection, especially for girls. Mixing bloomers and oxfords, and denim jackets, and layers upon layers….love it. Ruffled skirts are a mainstay, as are leggings. Throw in a fedora, cableknit sweater and a loose bowtie and you are one stylin’ little darling. For boys, i’m a huge fan of the suede boots w/shorts, and layers on top…loving the prepster meets art student look they’re throwing out there. And the whimsical foil critters? Adorable.

I am dying over the work of fine art fashion photographer, Rosanna Anson. These are some of my favorites from her whimsical collection, Carnival Dreams. You can see more of her beautiful work here

INSPIRED: ANNA WOLF
I am thrilled and so honored to be featured in the July issue of Professional Photographer Magazine! I was interviewed back in May for this issue which is devoted primarily towards babies and the business of baby portraiture. The interview covers business strategies, and the importance of client connection. And it features one of my favorite shots (not the cover shot), one that was taken of my tokyo clients, Amy & Noa, at the Casa del Mar in Santa Monica. If you happen to have a copy, you can check the feature out on pgs 88-92.
