Ultrasonic treatment is a modern way of caring for your skin with an instant effect. The treatment uses high frequency sound (ultrasonic waves) and is thus comfortable and painless. Ultrasound is similar technology to that used by doctors to check on unborn babies. It can be used as a complement to your skincare routine or instead of mechanical skin cleaning.. The ultrasonic waves also cause vibrating (micro-massage) of the tissue, which helps remove dead skin cells (gentle exfoliation), allowing it to rejuvenate naturally.  The new skin layer grows up without dead skin cells or excess amounts of sebum affecting its suppleness.

Multi Stage Care

Through its multiple modes of operation, Sonia is your ultimate companion in your skin care experience. Sonia has a mode for each stage, which builds upon the previous stage's treatment to leave your skin looking and feeling fresh, clean and youthful.  

Stage 1: Rejuvenation and cleansing.
The Rejuvenate and Cleanse treatment uses Continuous Ultrasonic Waves to remove dead cells from the surface of the skin to leave your skin feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and ultra smooth. The ultrasonic vibrations atomize water in the pores which and then the vibrations are able to shake the dried out dirt and contaminants to break them down to small particles that are easier to be extracted by the Stage 2

 

 

Stage 2: Deep Cleaning (Ion+ mode).
Adding a gentle stream of positive ions (ion +) attracts the broken down contamination, extracting it from the pores for a thorough deep cleanse. It also helps gently exfoliate be removing the dead skin cells loosened in the previous Stage 1.

 

Stage 3: Moisturizing, hydrating and absorption (Ion- mode).
This Sonophoresis treatment uses pulsing ultrasonic waves and a gentle stream of negative ions to increase the permeability of your skin, helping the effective absorption of serums and lotions and other hydrating products. This, combined with the increased circulation from the ultrasonic waves, helps plump up the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Stage 4: Lifting and tightening (micro EMS mode).

How To Use

Using Sonia is easy, following the guidelines below. Remember that the ultrasonic vibrations do the work for you, therefore do not apply excessive downward pressure on your skin when using Sonia. The intent is to clean the skin, not gouge it. Excessive pressure can lead to skin redness and soreness... instead sweep Sonia over your skin and let the device do the work while gently gliding. Also, we recommend to use Sonia on wet or lubricated skin.

 

You don't need to use Sonia daily. Instead follow the recommended frequency in these instructions above. Keep Sonia's vibrating tip away from your eye openings. You can use it around your eyes to treat the appearance of black circles, but d not bring it in contact with your eyes. If your skin seems excessively red after treatment, reduce the number of treatments per week, and/or reduce the duration  of each treatment.

 

Three Styles To Choose From

Some Sonia styles also come with textured silicone tip covers that can act as an effective skin scrubber,  for removal of make-up or masks, while also helping reduce the appearance of wrinkles, yet are always gentle on your skin.
